My name is Steven Tefft, and I’ve been tattooing for over 20 years. In 2012, I had the incredible opportunity to compete on the show Ink Master Season 2 and was fortunate enough to emerge as the winner. Tattoos have fascinated me since I was just 7 years old when I saw my first tattoo, a grim reaper design that captivated my imagination. From that point on, I developed a deep fascination with monsters and horror imagery.

I began my artistic journey by drawing monsters with bloody eyes during kindergarten recesses, and even in the 4th grade, I boldly drew a bloody severed head for a Thanksgiving place-mat project. In 1990, I started tattooing my friends, although I quickly realized that to truly excel, I needed proper knowledge and guidance. So, I sought opportunities to work and learn at a licensed tattoo shop, dedicating myself to long hours and hard work to acquire the skills I have today.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of being tattooed by esteemed artists I’ve admired, including Mike Rubendall, Eric Merrill, Liorcifer, Tom Berg, Bill Loika, Shane O’Neill, and Paul Booth. Their expertise and influence have played a significant role in shaping my artistic vision and technique.

In 2009, I achieved a lifelong dream by opening my own tattoo shop, 12 Tattoos and Body Piercing. My goal was to take the tattooing experience to new heights, offering clients an unforgettable artistic journey. Every tattoo I create is a testament to my commitment to excellence, as I strive to bring my clients’ visions to life and provide them with a masterpiece they’ll cherish forever.
